Devin Cooper

FRIDAY, JUNE 14 @ CAMERON HOUSE, 11PM

Southern-Rock influenced country may seem contradictory in the Great White North, but that's where Devin Cooper hangs his wide-brimmed hat. Kicking of 2024, Cooper is set to release his newest single “She’s My Religion” on February 9th, with a highly anticipated album coming later in 2024.

In 2023, Cooper was the most-nominated solo artist at the Country Music Alberta Awards, where he was named “Horizon Male Artist of The Year” and landed seven nominations, including, “Album of The Year” and “Fans’ Choice”. Cooper's signature sound is identifiable by his thoughtful songwriting and gritty rock 'n roll vocals. Following this, Cooper received his first CCMA Nomination for “Creative Team of The Year” for his debut album Good Things.

"Good Things," the lead single off the record was the #1 most played song the week of its release on CBC Sirius XM Country. Shortly after the release of his debut album “Good Things” Cooper was named a semi-finalist in Sirius XM’s Top of The Country program in partnership with the CCMAs, where Cooper and his band recorded his highest charting and streaming song to date, “Underdog” at the Warehouse in Vancouver, BC. “Underdog” is an anthem for everyone who has been knocked down and keeps getting back up, no matter what.

Featuring down-home banjo and anthemic 1980s drum tones, Cooper’s debut record blurs the line between country and rock 'n roll and is a taste of what's to come: Cooper does country music his way and doesn't apologize for it.
